LGBT+ in Facilities Management

Brief

A collaborative LGBT+ Network established by leading firms and professionals for the Facilities Management industry with the mission to make the industry the most attractive, inclusive and supportive. In November 2018 they held their first ever free networking event where two guest speakers focused on their experiences as an LGBT person in the workplace. It provided an opportunity for the steering committee to canvas opinions on the best ways to champion and promote LGBT+ inclusiveness and the use of the networks in Facilities Management.

Outcome

Over 100 professionals attended their first launch event to listen to many encouraging stories, some that mirrored many professionals in the FM world, offering inspiration to get more involved.
